In my opinion Salzburg have really good chances to make at least one point in today's match up. Odds on Milan are simply too low.
Salzburg in previous edition of Champions League passed group stage and lost in round of 16 against Bayern. For sure they have big ambitions for this campaign. Salzburg never lost in first match of group stage in Champions League. In previous edition Salzburg went unbeaten in all 4 home matches (3 wins in the process) and I believe they are able to continue this streak today.
Milan last year played very poor in Champions League. They finished on last place. Milan won only one of their last 9 matches in competition so for me is hard to see them as so big favorite today.
3 days ago Milan played huge derby match against Inter - for sure that was demanding task (physically and mentally). Short break and travel to Austria not helping. According to many sources Milan will play with exactly the same line up like against Inter.
Salzburg also played last match 3 days ago, but they played at home and recorded easy win. This team is in great form and have big potential. In this season they scored 18 goals - scored by 9 different players and all of them under 25 years old. There is a lot of options upfront.
Very hard opening match for Milan and I see big troubles for them.
