Blackburn are fantastic. Jon Dahl Tomasson has built up a solid squad. They defend well and attack well. They let you play but they get the better out of it. They just had their back-to-back wins completed after beating Sunderland in midweek. Now it’s natural that they want to climb to the top.
The obvious problem of Blackburn is that they lose a lot of games too. It’s not frequent for a team with so many defeats to be on the top. But they seem to be more and more stable recently.
Birmingham can’t be too ambitious for the current season. They don’t have a competitive budget or squad. But recently they have been quite stable and it seems that they won’t have problems to have a relatively comfortable season. However, if Blackburn Rovers repeat their level of performance in the midweek, it’s impossible for Birmingham to hold them back.
