In my opinion Preston have really good chances to make at least one point in today's match up.
Preston coming for this game full of confidence as they won 3 of last 4 matches. They lost on away against Blackpool, but that wasn't deserved result at all: expected goals scored for Preston 1.72, for Blackpool. If You look on the bigger picture, they are very consistent team - Preston didn't lost in 14 of 19 league matches so far.
Reading is not in good form at the moment, no doubts about that. In last 7 league matches they recorded only one win: at home against Bristol. They have problems with creativity: in 3 of last 4 matches their expected goals scored number was below 0.99.
Preston so far plays better on away than at home stadium. They didn't lost in 7 of 9 away league matches (only 8 goals conceded in the process). Preston have the best defensive formation in whole league (only 15 goals conceded) and I see serious troubles for out-of-form Reading to score goals.
All in all, I don't see big difference between both teams in terms of quality, ambitions and potential, but Preston is in better form and is more consistent at the back. On those circumstances value for sure is on away side.
