Gameday in Varnamo for the round 2 between Varnamo & Mjallby. Game will be played at the Boras Arena because the field of their stadium, Finnvedsvallen, isn't adapted to the game. The game will be played on artifical turf while both teams are teams who play normally on grass.
Varnamo will be without Simon Thern. He is their best player who came from Goteborg.
On their side Mjallby will be without Kricak. Nwankwo is doubtful.
To start the season, Varnamo got a difficult travel in Goteborg and they made a great win and they played well.
Mjallby on their side faced one of the weakest team of the league, they were leading 2-0 and then they completely failed their rest of the game.
About the staff for this season, both teams didn't make any change and they are under the same coach.
Varnamo lost Marcus Antonsson who was their best striker last season, he scored 21 goals of the 34 goals so it's quite hard to replace such a player. They added Gustav Engvall to replace him but it's not the same level and Gustav isn't in confidence since few seasons now.
The addition of Thern is great but as I said he won't play so it's bad for them.
Mjallby has a better defense this season with the addition of Tom Petterson & Noah Eile. They sold Noah Persson to Young Boys but the great thing is that they could agree to get him on loan until the end of june.
Varnamo should get boost of their fans but as I said the stadium is 108km away of their city so they might get less fans.
Mjallby is a stronger team and the difference between both teams was always defensively where I rate Mjallby even more stronger now.
