Gameday in Nice for the quarter final between Nice & Basel.
Nice will be without Atal, Diop, Viti, Lotomba & Beka Beka. Pepe is back in the team. Youssouf Ndayishimiye & Aaron Ramsey were doubtful but the last news who came out yesterday said that they are in.
Basel will be without Sergio Lopez who is suspended. Comas & Frei are injured.
First leg ended with 2-2 in Switzerland, it was an open game but Nice was much stronger, Basel scored 2 lucky goals, a foul of Todibo. And Nice had to score a third goal with Thuram and had to win this game. Nice started slowly the game but once they conceded they started to play and once they start to play we saw a big difference of level.
We can see on the stats that Nice had much more xG than Basel.
Nice changed their coach months ago, the game just after the change was a big win and then they started a really good run, they are now without a win since one month so the team needs to bounce back here.
They have the chance to make the history with the qualification of a semi final, at home they have always a good support by their fans.
Moffi, the new addition, got problems to be decisive at the early but now he looks on fire. I hope Nice will go with their 4-3-3 who was working better because with the change of formation they are using less the wings. I hope that Nice will start this game seriously because they have always problems to start the game.
I expect 2-0 or 2-1.
