FC Porto vs Chelsea
Porto is having two different seasons this season, in the Portuguese League they have been bad, losing a lot of points and most of the times playing bad football but in the Champions League they play their best, they fight a lot, they run a lot and they give everything on the field like we saw against Juventus, they beat Juventus 2:1 at home and then in extra-time in Italy they managed to eliminated Juventus by playing with 10 men during a long time, they had some luck but they deserved to advance that round and now they have a chance to make the semi-finals if they managed to send Chelsea home, what is possible, they could have got way worst opponents than Chelsea but still, they are still the underdogs here. For this game Porto will be without Sergio Oliveira and Taremi who are both suspended.
Chelsea has been impressive since Coach Tuchel came to the club but they lost their 1st game under the new coach at home by 2:5 against West Brom in a very strange game, they were 1:0 up and the Thiago Silva got a red card in the 29th minutes and then in the 45+2 and 45+4 West Brom scored twice and got the lead and after that it was a disaster. Now we can do two things here, over react to that loss and focus on the good things that Chelsea has showed with Tuchel, I prefer to focus on the good, with Tuchel, Chelsea has been overall very solid and that includes that impressive elimination round against Atletico Madrid who they beat Atletico Madrid 1:0 on the road and than 2:0 at home and if we look at the draw, Porto was the easiest opponent for them and I don't believe they will not respect Porto, they eliminated Juventus so Tuchel will not let his team disrespect Porto for sure. For this game Chelsea is fully healthy, they recovered Pulisic and Kante for this game, they will start on the bench but if needed Tuchel can bet on them.
Both games will be played in Sevilla because of Covid protocol, so no home field advantage for this elimination for both teams but the away goals will count what is kinda stupid but those are the rules what makes this game even more important for Chelsea in my opinion, they wanna score here and most importanly win the game to have a nice lead for the 2nd leg and overall I believe they will, Porto is a team who fights a lot but lack in talent in compare to Chelsea but Chelsea overall is a solid team who are also very strong has a collective team under Coach Tuchel and I expect them to come here very focus, because they are coming of a bad loss and also because they know what happened to Juventus. I like Chelsea to win here 2:0 or 2:1 against Porto, I see Chelsea has the superior team and also Porto is missing two key players via suspension.
