EIF are seriously trying to win the promotion, they have spent a lot of money in building the team, and they actually face the problem of home grown player rules in every game. If it was up to them they would field a starting 11 which is full of foreigners, but they have to get a few locals there to start, and to sub a few in before the game ends.
The host JJK do not have that problem, they have basically only home grown players and a few veterans. Their problem is lack of money, lack of resources, and the fact that the club is not known to be a good one in developing young players.
So the outcome is that they have a cheap, young and local team, which is playing in the wrong level after winning the promotion last season. They are going down again, and very deservedly so.
JJK have lost their last 7 games, three of them by one goal, four by at least two goals. They got one new player ahead of their latest loss, striker Tarvonen, and even if he is good for this level he is not going to get too many chances against league's strongest defense.
EIF won last round HIFK away by 0-2, they gave the hosts close to 0 of goal expectation xG.
