For the last place in the playoffs in the League, they are fighting for three teams. Portsmouth, Oxford and Charlton. Portsmouth is in the best situation, taking the place that leads to the playoffs, but the other two teams certainly have their chances. My choice for today fell on Oxford, a team that plays very nice and attacking football. In order to reach the place above, they have to win today's game and hope that Portsmouth will stumble against the unpleasant Accrington. Accrington is exactly the team that Portsmouth failed to beat two rounds ago when they played a 3-3 draw away. The most difficult task will have Charlton who plays against the best team in the championship, Hull. Oxford enters the last round in very good shape, they have recorded 5 victories in the last 6 games. The fact that they managed to score at least three goals in each of those 5 victories shows the best attacking potential of this team. That they are very motivated to come to the playoffs they showed in the previous match away to Shrewsbury in which they came to victory even though they lost at half time. The guests are Burton, who is currently in a safe 16th position and will not be threatened by today's defeat. Burton has experienced a renaissance since they were taken over by the legendary Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink who brought them to a safe zone. In the last 5 matches, they have recorded only one victory with three draws and one defeat. Certainly not an easy opponent, but the question of motivation before this match is extremely important and that is why I give a big advantage to Oxford.
