England is still the same England from 2018, very defensive and just trying to score in set pieces or transitions as they are very bad at offensive organization. They play so bad for the talent they have (Foden, Sterling, Rashford, Grealish,...) and it's unbelievable how Jadon Sancho has only 5 minutes and that 5 minutes were in the last game of the groups where Southgate changed some players. They qualified with 7 points and concede 0 goals but the quality of the teams they played against was bad too. Against Croatia the game was very equilibrated, but Sterling in a counter scored the winning goal, then against Scotland the game was so bad and Scotland had the best chances for sure. If the group was a bit harder I am pretty sure that England wouldn't get qualified. In my opinion this will be the last game of Southgate as I really think they cannot handle this Germany with a mix of young players and experienced players. They will try to explore the counters but Germany plays with 3 fast centre-backs (Hummels, Rudiger and Ginter). The only positive thing for them is that they will play at home (Wembley stadium), but the collective quality is so different comparing to this Germany. One of the best strikers in the world didn't score any goal yet as the team cannot have many time the ball and to serve him in good conditions
Probable line-up: Pickford; Maguire - Walker - Stones - Trippier - James; Phillips - Rice; Foden - Sterling and Harry Kane.
Germany is improving a lot comparing to the last years as Low step back and called amazing experienced players like Hummels and Muller. They started this Euro 2020 with a loss against France, but was the best game of France so far in years in my opinion. Then when they had a big pressure on them they made the best game a team made on this Euro, against Portugal where they won 4-2 and this 4-2 was good for Portugal regarding what happened on the game. Never saw a dominance and clear superiority like Germany made to Portugal. They can play in the middle and in the wingers with the width that Gosens and Kimmich give. The last game against Hungary was a strange one, Germany created more chances but Hungary was playing by pride and almost eliminated Germany, but I really think that Germany despised Hungary. This game will be different as England will play at home and Germany will respect them but will play their football and will try to have the control of the game. I am very confident for this one.
