Italy deserve to be in the semi-finals after in their group stage they beat Turkey 3:0, Switzerland 3:0 and Wales 1:0 and where they were showing great football but than came the knock out stages and they had some issues to beat Austria, the game ended 0:0 in the end of 90th minute but they managed to win in extra-time by 2:1 and well deserved and than in the quarter-finals they beat Belgium 2:1 in maybe the best game of the Euro's, great intensity and great pace and Italy played an tremendous game once again, but they had one bad news in that game, Spinazzola got a serious injury and is out for the rest of the tournament, it's a big blow in that position but still, Italy chances to win the whole tournament are still very good in my opinion.
Spain journey to the semi-finals had been different, in their group stage they started with 2 draws against Sweden 0:0 and Poland 1:1 but than they beat easily Slovakia by 5:0. In the knock out stages they beat Croatia in extra-time, the game ended 3:3 and than they beat Croatia by 5:3 and in the quarter-finals they beat Switzerland in penalty kicks after the game was 1:1. Spain are coming of two games where they needed to play the whole 120 minutes and even they are here Spain has been a strange team, they have stretches were they look really good but than they have stretched were they looked bad and this Italy team will be their first opponent who can really hurt them, Spain defensive line has showed too many errors and mental mistakes in this tournament and if they have any in this game Italy will for sure take care of that because Italy attack has been amazing.
I think Italy is the better team and will advance to the Final in this Euro 2020, one think what makes this Italy special is the enviroment around the team, Coach Mancini has created a great team spirit in this team and you can see it on the field, they fight for each other and are having fun playing football and that's a tough combination to beat and I believe that Italy attack and pressure will give Spain problems and also will provoke some mistakes on Spain's side, maybe this game will go once again at extra-time but overall I think that this Italy team is the superior one and I think they match-up well against them, Spain has some issues on the defensive side that Italy can take care with their great attack and Spain who has good players in the attack will have a hard time against that rock solid defensive from Italy.
