In my opinion Oita Trinita have really good chances to make at least one point in today's match up.
Obviously, on the paper Gamba is a stronger team, but in this moment I'm not able to trust for them, especially with such low odds.
Gamba season so far in their standards is a big failure, they are in relegation zone and morale in team is on very low level. Schedule not helping the team as well. It's a 4th match for Gamba in 10 days, just after trip to Thailand and 6 matches there in two weeks period. Players don't have freshness at all. As well confidence for sure is not sky high. Gamba lost last two matches in a row, both at home. In last round, 3 days ago they lost 0:1 against Kashima and that was extremely poor performance from Gamba. They luckily avoided much bigger loss - Kashima had 24 shots in that game.
Oita for sure feels the blood. They are in relegation zone and this is perfect opportunity to catch some fresh air. Team have freshness, they played last match two weeks ago. This is big difference. Oita is full of confidence as they recorded two wins in a row (cup + league) and they even not conceded a single goal. In last round they won 1:0 at home against top8 Urawa. Coach Tomohiro Katanosaka had game plan for this match and that was very visible. I believe Oita today will play with similar style. They will give a ball for Gamba and then wait for their chances. That should work against exhausted team.
Oita is able to make big troubles for Gamba in current state.
