I really don't understand why the odds are going up on Shakhtar in this game. Genk is not in good form, the coach had a dispute with their best player Onuachu, rumours say that Arsenal is interested in his transfer and the club won't let him go. Onuachu scored 33 goals last season, coach said he will be in team selection but probably not from the first minute. Genk didn't start the season well they have only 1 point from 2 games in the Belgian league and their defence is playing catastrophically. Genk lost the last game at home against Oostende 4-3 despite having a 2-0 lead and I think the momentum and morale of the team is not so high after some disappointing results.
The guests are coming after a 3-0 away win against Lviv, they dominated the whole game and deservedly won. Shakhtar is one of the best clubs in whole Europe, last year they even managed to win against Real Madrid and I think they will be the winner of this tie as they have more experience in these games. The new coach of "miners" is Roberto De Zerbi, who managed Sassuolo last season and had some very good results with them. In my opinion, he is one of the best coaches in Europe and he likes to play high pressure with a lot of ball possession. Shakhtar has a very strong team, with a lot of Brazilians, they recently bought two very good players Traore from Ajax and Pedrinho from Benfica, both of them scored a goal in the last game. Shakthar knows how to play these games, Genk has a big problem in defence and I think Shakhtar won't lose this game. It's also a good bet to try Shakhtar to win because these odds 2.7 on their win are very high in my opinion.
