Vizela coming from an amazing season in 2020/2021. They made 2 consecutive promotions almost with the same squad and with the same coach Alvaro Pacheco. They started a season a bit unlucky without any centre-back and the 1st official match against Estrela da Amadora for the League Cup they were playing with 3 left-defenders in the defense, 2 of them as centre-backs. It happened again against the champion Sporting for the 1st League match where they lost 3-0, but handled very well the 0-0 until Pote scored an amazing goal. Then Vizela played against Tondela and made an amazing game, but still with the same problems in the centre of the defense, they had 20 goal attempts against 8 from Tondela. In the last game against Guimaraes they lost 4-0, but were a bit unlucky as they had 2 disallowed goals when the score was 0-0, one of them for 14 centimetres and the other for 12 centimetres and then suffered the 1st and the atmosphere on stadium exploded as it was their 1st goal for the league. Their stadium is still under construction, but in this specific game I think it will be good for them, as they will play in Pacos de Ferreira's stadium that is smaller and narrower and will cancel the strengths of Boavista (exploring the space). For this game they have already 2 centre-backs able to play and I expect them to create a lot of problems to this refurbished Boavista. The striker Cassiano probably will miss this game as he felt an muscular injury against Guimaraes but will be replaced by Guilherme Schettine that scored the winning goal against Tondela in the last minute. I see them better team collectively and with bigger must win as after this game there will be an international stop.

Boavista doing a very good season for what everyone was expecting. In the first 2 matches they weren't able to register the new signs in the competitions, and so played those games mostly with u23 players and some u19 and even with that problems they won 2 games against Maritimo (1-0) and Portimonense (0-2) and lost the match for the League against the strong Gil Vicente (3-0). After this game against Gil Vicente they registered every player and played against Pacos de Ferreira at full strength and they improved a lot their quality with a clear victory by 3-0. The last match was against Santa Clara, a team that was facing a lot of problems with 11 players infected by Covid-19 and that made a lot of changes as they were preparing the 2nd leg for Conference League against Partizan, but Santa Clara until the 1-0 by Boavista was playing much better and gave the feeling that were controlling the game easily, but then an amazing pass by Chidozie to Hamache and unlocked the game. But the pitch of Boavista is very big and large, and they will play this game in the stadium of Pacos de Ferreira, with a small and narrow pitch and so they won't have the space they like to explore the speed of Hamache, Gorre and Yusupha. I expect a Vizela creating a lot of chances with patience.
