On the other side, Scotland shared points with both Austria and Israel, while managing to defeat the Faroe Islands by a four-goal margin. Steve Clarke's national team did quite poorly in this year's Euros, finishing last-placed in the group stage with only one point earned vs. England.
Injuries will be a huge deal for both teams in the upcoming game, but the guests have even more problems than their hosts. Scotland will miss all of Scott McTominay, John McGinn, Nathan Patterson, Stephen O'Donnell, Greg Taylor, and James Forrest. This shows just how outclassed Scotland's midfield will be by Denmark's, as the visitors lack four midfielders and two defenders. Meanwhile, the Danes are without Martin Braithwaite, Andreas Cornelius, Jannik Vestergaard, Nicolai Boilesen, Rasmus Falk, and Philip Billing.
The last time Denmark welcomed Scotland was back in 2004, when the hosts won 1-0. Scotland celebrated in the two sides' previous two meetings, winning 1-0 and 2-1 both times at home. The guests won only one of their previous seven visits, finding a minimal triumph against Luxembourg. Denmark's only home clash of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers resulted in an 8-0 victory over Moldova.
