Both teams lost the 1st respective games. Newcastle Jets against Central Coast Mariners in the F3 derby 1-0 while WSW lost against Macarthur at home 1-0.
As I said in my previous pick Newcastle Jets are in financial problems and they lost many key players.
Mid Ridenton (10/0), st Fitzgerald (21/4), st Arroyo (19/2), mid Petratos (28/5), gk Moss (14/0), st Ibini-Iseni (6/1) all left the team, while signed only gk Duncan from Saudi Arabia and mid Abbas who played his last game 2 years ago.
New signigns played in the F3 derby and n gk Duncan made a mistake which costed the game.
Abbas entered in last minutes and didn't gave any impact in the game.
Interim coach Deans plays with a 4-3-3 but roster is short and only top player in attack is O'Donovan but still not enough to break the defenses.
For this game are out def Koutrombis (26/0) and mid Kantarovski (16/0) stats from last season.
Newcastle Jets are unbeaten in their last 8 games against Western Sydney Wanderers.
WSW lost against Macarthur in the 1st game but could deserve something more.
They had chances to score and played a good game overall. WSW even lost players like best scorer Duke (26/14), 1st gk Lopar (22/0), def Jurman (24/0), mid Schwegler (25/2) retired and mid Sullivan (15/0).
But those left replaced with same quality players as Troisi,Dorrans and Ibini-Isei played very good in their 1st game with WSW.
Coach Carl Robinson were in Newcastle Jets last year and in his 11 games collected 7 wins,4 draws. So he knows very good the today's opponents.
WSW have a full roster available for this game.
It should be a difficult game for Newcastle Jets, despite they have good record against WSW the quality is on away side.
