I like the look of new Rayo, but in truth their results are a bit of fake and mostly they have had a favourable schedule so far:
The good teams Sevilla and Sociedad showed that they do not belong even closely to top-6, but since then they have weaker teams only, and been saved and rewarded 3 times with the super sub Falcao who has only played for 94 minutes so far.
Rayo injury list unchanged, only Merquelanz is still unavailable and the coach Iraola can choose what he likes, perhaps to start with Falcao this time?
Osasuna are one of the most entertaining sides to follow, and I previewed them last week on their trip to Mallorca.
They started with two 0-0 games but both were rather lively and especially against Celta they were excellent. The loss v Valencia was a random results, then Betis were simply better, but Betis are a good team right now!
Osasuna do apply high pressure from the start, they take risks, they are aggressive, but it should work well against these expectedly bottom sides. Remember that when the season started the consensus was that Rayo would have no chance to avoid being the worst team of the league! Then came Falcao, good results and a good positive spin and also the other new signings have proved to be useful, but in my books they still are a bottom-6 side and Osasuna are close to 50% favourites to win this at home, as Budimir also is the only absentee for the day.
3-1
