Austria no longer has the right to make a mistake after several very bad games lately. After a disastrous defeat in Israel against the home team, Austria lost 1-0 to Scotland at home in Vienna and now they have to win if they want to play next year in Qatar. Direct placement is not possible, Denmark will certainly be the first in the group, but there is still the possibility that the Austrians will choose the placement through the barrage. In order to do that, they have to win tonight in the Faroe Islands and wait for a favourable result from the match Scotland-Israel, the Austrians would prefer the division of points in Glasgow. The Faroe Islands beat Moldova 2-1 last game but they have no chance of qualifying for the World Cup, so I expect a much more relaxed approach to the game by the hosts. Austria cant afford to lose more points so i expect a win for the guests with at least 2 goals difference.
My prediction: Austria to win (Asian handicap - 1.5)
