Real offered for -1 @ 1.89 on the markets as this is posted, which is a pretty safe call, in my opinion.
Usually such calls for a big favourite to take 3 points on the road against a tricky side like Osasuna are more controversial than initially expected. However, Real Madrid recent form is sending enough positive vibes at the moment to feel confident about their win from this trip.
Somewhere in mid-November Zidane had managed to change fortunes at Real and somewhere from the 5th round of Champions League group stage, the team really moved up a gear and started showing the type of football that earned them the title in 2019/20 campaign. December was close to phenomenal for Real and they only choked it a bit with the unexpected 1:1 draw away to Elche. To some extent, I think, that result opened up the chance to have these odds against Osasuna on Saturday.
Last time around on January 2 Real took easy care of one of the most in-form teams at the moment - Celta (2:0).
All is pretty good for visitors team news wise. The backline is close to full strength, bar suspended Carvajal. Well performing Vazquez is expected to fill in. Midfield trio is at full strength and looking really strong at the moment. Even ever injured Hazard is in the squad list and could be used at some point of the match.
Osasuna is just hanging around the relegation zone at the moment even if unbeaten in last 3. They're pretty prone to collapsing here and then, which is quite untypical for any team in LaLiga. By "collapsing" I mean the high number of conceded goals: 4 from Barcelona, 3 from Valladolid (!), Atletico Madrid and Villarreal. With such a leaky backline like Osasuna has this season and Real Madrid, in contrast, being so hard to break down at the defensive end - it is hard to see Osasuna getting points from this match. Moreover, Real is currently the best team on the road in LaLiga with a 5-3-1 record.
H2H record is also shouting for a convincing away win. The last time Real failed to beat Osasuna dates back to December 2013. Since then it has been 6 wins in a row with at least a 2+ goals margin.
