In my opinion Brentford have really good chances to make win in today's match up.
After really hot start of the season Brentford results looks worse in last weekends, but they not played so bad at all, especially in offense. According to the expected goals scored model, in last 5 rounds Brentford should score 7.67. Only City, Chelsea and Liverpool had better stats in that department during that period. After 4 consecutive losses, in last round Brentford finally avoided loss in goals festival match against Newcastle on away (3:3) and for sure that is step in good direction. What is the most important-Brentford don't have any new big absences before today's match and their line up looks pretty strong with all top players of current season available to play.
On the other hand Everton have huge squad problems at both ends of the pitch before today's match. Important central defender Holgate is suspended, key central defender Mina is injured, important central midfielder Davies is injured, key central midfielder Gomes is injured, key offensive midfielder Gray probably is not fit enough to start in first squad today, key winger Richarlison is suspended and top striker Calvert-Lewin is injured. Doucoure, best Everton player in current season so far is fit after injury break, but I'm not sure manager Benitez will wants risk to play him for full match today, especially when Everton have derby match against Liverpool at Wednesday. List of absences is extremely long and that should have really bad impact on Everton performance today. Doucoure/Richarlison/Gray/Calvert-Lewin - they've been involved in 42 of last 63 Everton Premier League goals. I see huge problems for guests with goalscoring today. Everton failed to win in 79% of matches when they had to play without Calvert-Lewin.
Everton is in even worse form than Brentford, they are at the bottom in league table for last 6 matches. This is their worst streak since January 2018. I see excellent chances for Brentford to make 3 points front of home crowd against depleted, out of form Everton.
