Casa Pia are one of the best teams of the league. They made a big investment since the last season, but unfortunately the last season didn't go so well but was because their stadium and their training ground was not ready and so they just started the trainings only one week before the League starts. This season was different, they kept the best players, just lost their striker Platiny and the right defender Marvin and started the trainings one month before the start of the league. They are playing really well in the same formation as the champion in the 1st league Sporting in 3-4-3. They press a lot the opponents and then have a lot of dynamic in the wingers and in the middle. The wingers of Casa Pia are probably the bests and the fastest of the league, Godwin Savior and Jota Silva. Jota is doing the best season of his short career so far with 10 goals in the season and being the best goalscorer of the league so far with the same goals as Henrique Araujo from Benfica B. I expected them to be fighting for the top-6, but from what I am seeing so far they will fight until the end for the first 2 places that gives direct promotion to the 1st and main league from Portugal. They don't have any absence for this game and are so much better team than Varzim. Casa Pia have the best defense of the league with only 8 goals conceded in 12 games, this is amazing.
Probable line-up: Ricardo Batista; Lucas Soares - Kelechi - Vasco Fernandes - Zolotic - Leonardo Lelo; Angelo Neto - Afonso Taira; Godwin - Jota Silva and Joao Vieira.
Varzim made an amazing investment to prepare this season, after a bad season where they fought until the end to survive in the 2nd League. They bought already some players who achieved the title of 2nd League, players with some promotions in this league and from the best team in terms of quality from the last season, from Chaves. They bought Joao Reis, Luis Silva and Ze Tiago from Chaves, Tavinho from Vizela and Heliardo from Arouca. But the true is that the players are really tired of the coach Antonio Barbosa who joined in the end of the last season to fight to avoid the relegation and achieved that in the last game. They didn't make any good game so far, with some terrible performances specially against Benfica B at home where they lost 2-0 and were completely dominated, in the last game at home too against Penafiel who is playing poorly away from home but even tho could beat Varzim without any problems. The winger Murilo is back and can be good news for them, but I cannot see them causing any problem to this strong Casa Pia. The experienced centre-back Luis Pedro is injured and will miss this important game. This is a final for Varzim as they have a terrible sequence of bad results and in case of a lose again the coach will be sacked and some more changes can happen.
