Sint-Truidense VS Eupen
Sint-Truidense host Eupen for this Belgian Jupiler League round 21 clash at Stayen. I honestly do not expect a match with high-entertainment value here.. I do see a more low-scoring match than the betting market, most pro football bettors and analysts - and perhaps the sports media as a whole. As a result, the probability of a draw is a bit bigger in my papers, hence making our bet Eupen +0.5 goals becomes an even better bet! The hosts have lost five matches in a row and are without a doubt a worse team than Eupen by raw class. They are currently in 16th place with 21 points whereas the visitors have scored 25 points and occupy the 11th place. I believe the hosts, after the five straight losses will choose a pretty cautious, more defensive than usual strategy for this match. They were clearly lacking some confidence in their most recent match - especially offensively. I also want to stress that Sint-Truidense do not have particularly enthusiastic fans and are not a particularly good home team and have won just two of their latest ten home matches. I see them being over-valued by the market here, probably at least partly because of the visitors having a lot more longer list of missing players than them. However, whilst admitting the absences do hurt Eupen, I see too much emphasis being given to these absences!
I currently rate the visitors as 10th best team and the hosts as 17th best team in this league in my power ratings that illustrates the teams' raw (overall) class compared to other teams in the league - on a scale from 1-100. The Belgian Jupiler Pro League has become more competitive and more classy in recent years, and despite the fact that it is in general of course not even close as high-level as La Liga, English Premier League, Serie A, German Bundesliga or even the French Ligue 1 - it still can offer pretty high-level football with a bunch of young, promising players, especially from outside Europe whom the bigger clubs, with more money to spend, in better leagues, keep an increasingly close eye on. Both of these have a few promising talents in the squad too! I recommend my fans to sometimes watch this league too moving forward. More or less all of the top-10 teams are capable of good, often very aggressive and high-tempo football. This league is relatively balanced overall - except for the worst team in the league - the bottom team Beerschot.
To sum up, the visitors with the +0.5 goals handicap is the smart choice here for my fans and myself to increase a very hot winning streak! The chance of winning is around 64%.
