Academica Coimbra are having the toughest season since they were relegated from the 1st League after 3 amazing competitive seasons where they fought until the end to reach the promotion places, but this season something weird happened. They lost a lot of important players from the last season to top teams of the league like Chaby to Nacional, Silverio to Penafiel, Leandro Sanca to Casa Pia, Fabiano to Braga, Bruno Teles and Guima to Chaves and Bouldini to Santa Clara and replaced them by 'normal' players I mean not players for a team that want to fight for the first 3 places as the 3rd since last season gives access to play-offs. They started the season with the coach Rui Borges who did an amazing job in the last season and fought until the last game to achieve the 3rd place but were only able to reach the 4th place as Arouca made a tremendous last third of the competition. After the bad start he was sacked and they bought Joao Carlos Pereira who already coached Academica 2 seasons ago and made a good job and after 4 games this year he decided to leave knowing that the club are living a tough moment and now they brought Pedro Duarte who was already sacked this season from Sanjoanense of the 3rd League for bad results where he had one of the best teams in the 3rd League and Sanjoanense was the club that invested more this season. Yesterday they had terrible news, their best player and topscorer Joao Carlos is infected with Covid-19 and will miss this game, and their 2nd option for striker Fabio Fortes is still injured and so will play Mauro Caballero who has really few minutes this season. They are not the same same without their key player who is carrying them so far and their captain Traquina will miss this game aswell as he received a red card against Mafra in the last game, so they come for this game without 2 players from their trio of attack.

Trofense were the champion of Liga 3 last season after beating Estrela da Amadora in the final. They started the last season with Antonio Barbosa who was recently sacked from Varzim and then Rui Duarte made an amazing end of season and put Trofense back in the 2nd League. This season he was not doing a bad job before being sacked, but he was being very defensive and just trying to create problems in counters and when the score was 0-0 the team was wasting a lot of time and the president wanted a coach that plays every game to win. They decided to buy Francisco Chalo a very experienced coach in this league who already coached Feirense, Penafiel, Sporting da Covilha, Academico Viseu and Leixoes and always achieved the objectives of all clubs, he is not a top coach but for this league is always competitive and can always achieve what the president purposes to him. He started with 3 wins in 3 games, and just lost that last one against Feirense but where the team missed clear chances in the 1st half and then in 2nd half the pitch was terrible because of the rain and Feirense scored near the minute 80 because of a mistake by the defender due to the rain. They have in my opinion the 2 best players of the league apart from the players from Benfica B and Porto B, they are Bruno Almeida who is known as the 'Messi of Trofa' and Elias Achouri who I do not understand how Vitoria Guimaraes and Estoril didnt want to keep with him as he did 2 amazing seasons for them in the u23 League and now is destroying all the defenses in the 2nd League.
