In my opinion Huddersfield have really good chances to make at least one point in today's match up.
Huddersfield have good streak against Nottingham as they didn't lost in 8 of last 11 matches against them. In previous season they were able to win at this stadium 2:0.
After half of the season both teams are involved in fight to finish in play-off zone at the end of the season. Huddersfield is 6th, 2 points above Nottingham. If You look on the bigger picture - Huddersfield is better team than Nottingham in all departments. They have more shots on target per game (3.6 against 3.3) and they created more big chances (30 against 23). They kept clean sheet in 8 matches so far, Nottingham in 6. Guests as well are little better team with the ball as they have more accurate passes per game than hosts. In addition to that, according to the expected goals scored and goals conceded Nottingham played worse than their results shows. They scored 32 goals so far, but they should 27.2. They conceded 27, but they should 29.8.
Both teams coming for this game in totally different mood. Huddersfield made excellent comeback from 1:2 at home against Blackpool. They won by 2 late goals from Sorba Thomas. For sure that was big boost of confidence for the team and they wants to go with momentum today. Nottingham in last round lost 0:2 on away Middlesbrough and that was very painful loss. They were really outplayed by the opposition and maybe played on good level for 10-15 minutes. They made woeful error in defense and they conceded one of the worst possible own goal for 0:1. Now is big pressure on defensive formation and Huddersfield for sure will be not easy to stop - they scored 6 goals in last two rounds.
Normally home advantage is always good, but Nottingham is type of team which crack under the pressure. They failed to win in 8 of 12 matches in current season so far (in previous season they failed to win in 17 of 23 home matches!!! ). Huddersfield is solid on away-they made at least one point in 7 of 12 away matches.
I don't see guests as a worse team and in those circumstances is hard to see Nottingham as a clear favorite here. Without any shadow of doubt value is on away side. Double selections is best possible bet here.
