Pacos de Ferreira were the team that fell the most in shape since the start. They almost reached the Uefa Conference League eliminating Tottenham where they won the first game at home by 1-0 but then as away were not good enough to stop the strength of Harry Kane, Lo Celso and Bryan Gil. They did very good games in the beginning but then seems that the players lost the confidence in their coach Jorge Simao who was sacked on his last experiences like Braga, Boavista, Al-Fayha, Mouscron and now in Pacos de Ferreira. He already coached 5 different teams and the maximum games he made for a single team was 14 games for Academica and in my opinion was the best work he did and was the only team where he started since the pre-season. His Academica played really well but took a lot of time to understand his dynamics and I remember that at home they dominated almost every team as his ideas are very dominants but it takes a lot of time to assimilate everytihng as he tries to have a lot of possession and in that pre-season for Academica he lost 8-0 against Benfica because he tries to play eyes to eyes against every team and the players in the beginning commit a lot of errors, but since that he did terrible jobs and was sacked from Chaves after 12 games then moved to Moreirense (his 1st experience in 1st League) and was sacked after only 7 games and now joins again to a team in the middle of the season. They already made one game under the coach Cesar Peixoto and won 1-0 against Tondela, but the result is quite misleading as Tondela had clearly the best chances to score and then Pacos de Ferreira scored by a penalty converted by Denilson Jr. I expect them conceding again many chances to Santa Clara, but the quality of the players of Santa Clara are much better than the players of Tondela and I cannot see Santa Clara not scoring here. Pacos de Ferreira have an important absence for this game, the captain and the left-defender Antunes who is champion as last season he played for Sporting CP has 5 yellow cards and so will be replaced by Nuno Lima who has only 20 years old and very few experience and will face Ricardinho one of the surprises of this season of Santa Clara.

They have one of the best centre-backs of the league, Mikel Villanueva and for sure 2 of the best midfielders in the league that could play in the best portuguese teams (Sporting, Porto and Benfica), they are Lincoln and Morita an internacional for Japan with a lot of technique, pass and the way he dribbles the pression is incredible. The players are very motivated to win this game and to get the 2nd win in a row and to show to Tiago Sousa that they want him to stay as main coach. I have never saw anything like this (Coach does not want to be main coach and players want him to be...). They have only one absence, the defensive midfielder Anderson Carvalho for suspension but that will likely be replaced by Nene who already has a lot of minutes this season and was a key player for every coach. The striker Cryzan is living the best moment since he came to the island of Azores with 4 goals in the last 4 games.
