In my opinion Hertha have really good chances to make at least one point in today's match up. I don't see Koln as a favorite of this game.
In overall Hertha have very solid record against Koln as they didn't lost in 14 of last 19 matches against them. Hertha didn't lost in 7 of last 9 home matches against Koln. Last season match between both teams in Berlin finished with draw 0:0.
I believe home advantage is big factor here. Hertha is solid home team if You look on big picture - they lost only 31 of last 93 home Bundesliga matches. On the other hand Koln is very poor away team in Bundesliga standards - they won only 15 of last 76 Bundesliga away matches! Is very hard to trust them against anyone on away.
Hertha currently is unbeaten in last 5 home league matches in a row. During that run they changes coach and now Tayfun Korkut have a chance to be first manager since 2007 to win his first three home matches in a row on Hertha bench. He was able to win against Bielefeld and Dortmund, confidence in team must be sky high. Hertha scored at least one goal in all Bundesliga matches at home so far. Koln in current season looks excellent at home, but on away they are still really poor - only one win in 8 matches and they conceded 16 goals in the process. In addition to that Tayfun Korkut never lost as a manager against Koln in Bundesliga (4 matches).
Hertha won 66.6% of their points at home, Koln made only 7 of their 25 points on away.
Hertha improved as a team under Korkut, with him on the bench they were able to score more than one goal in 3 of 4 matches. Koln have huge troubles with defending, especially in away matches. In overall in current season Koln conceded at least one goal in 16 of 17 Bundesliga matches. Hertha should be able to score at least one goal. On the other hand Hertha didn't conceded more than one goal in 5 of 8 home matches. Koln in 8 away matches only twice scored more than one goal.
I really see value on home side.
