In my opinion Borussia have excellent chances to make win in today's match.
Borussia have amazing record at home against Freiburg in Bundesliga, they played 21 Bundesliga matches at home against them and recorded 17 wins (they won 12 of last 13)!
It's a extremely important match for Borussia, at the moment they are 6 points behind first Bayern, but Bayern now have a lot of squad problems (lost last week at home 1:2 against Gladbach). Borussia have great chance to put them under additional pressure. Morale in team must be superb. They made spectacular comeback in last round, from 0:2 on away against Eintracht. Confidence for sure is sky high and they wants to go with momentum front of home crowd.
Borussia is almost perfect at home in current season - 8 wins in 9 matches. They scored impressive 26 goals in the process. Freiburg defensive formation on the paper looks super solid, but I don't trust them today. Freiburg had a lot of luck in their away matches. They conceded 7 goals in away matches, but according to the expected goals conceded model they should concede 15.20! It's huge difference. In addition to that, today they are without their first goalkeeper Flekken and their key central defender Schlotterbeck (second-best player in whole team according to the ratings). It's huge blow and should have very bad impact on their performance at the back today.
Obviously, Haland is the most dangerous player in Borussia. He didn't scored in last game, but he looked very good and recorded one assist. For the first time in current season he didn't scored a single goal in two consecutive matches, but I see good chances for him today (he already scored two goals against Freiburg in past). He loves to play at home, he scored in last 7 home Bundesliga matches in a row (12 goals in total in those matches!). He will have support from Reus (second most creative player in whole league) and Bellingham (playing his best season in career).
I believe Borussia has great chance to score goals against Freiburg defensive formation without two key links. I see 3 points for hosts at the end of the day.
