Preston is a mid-table team, although the playoff is still possible mathematically, I don't believe they can get there. The team has some limitations and not enough to go that far. But their hope is good for us, they need to win this game and that's why they're going to attack. They will want to take over the game against Nottingham, but they don't have the quality to do so and will leave spaces in the defense that can be exploited. This is reflected well in what the season has been like, they are a team that likes to explore the counterattack more than take over the game. That's why they have better results playing away than at home.
Nottingham is one of the favorites for the playoff, they bet big this season and dream of promotion. They started the season disappointingly, there were 6 losses and 1 draw in the first 7 games and now they need to recover all those lost points. They are only 2 points away from the playoff and that's why the dream is real. The problem may have been the at home games where they lost a lot of points they weren't expected to lose but playing away they've been doing very well.
